UMYF

Short for United Methodist Youth Fellowship, UMYF is one of our primary weekly offerings for youth. UMYF is open to all youth grades 7-12. Every Sunday evening during the school year, we gather at 5 pm. Each evening starts with dinner together. Typically after dinner, we will break into smaller groups as we spend time in interactive sessions designed to help youth explore their faith through scripture, prayer, and spiritual practices. A variety of sessions will be offered for a 5-week period, and then new sessions begin for the next 5 week period, and so on. Then at 6:30 pm, we have worship with music led by our youth praise band and a talk given by one of our youth. Sometimes, we may set aside our typical routine to attend a special event, support another ministry at our church, or to simply have a fun time of games and fellowship. UMYF meets each Sunday from 5-7 pm in the basement of the Freeman building.
