Easter Sunrise Service

Hello All,

I wanted to let everyone know that the Sunrise Service is this Sunday. It will start at 6:30 at Dogwood Park. I know that it is really early, but please do try to be there.

If you are a youth that either wants to help out or is involved please be at the park at 6 am.

Have a great weekend!

Working on the 5 "W's"

On Monday afternoons after school, Jennie Ivey teaches creative writing to fourth graders enrolled in the LEAPS program at Jere Whitson Elementary School. Students work on including the "five W's" (who, what, when, where, and why) and using the five senses to enrich their fiction and non-fiction storytelling skills.

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt

It’s that time of year again. . so come join the Fellowship Committee on Saturday, March 27 for a very non-traditional egg hunt. John and Jeanne Buck are hosting the fun at their home on 2103 Stone Seminary Road. Come dressed in field clothes (sturdy shoes included) and enjoy the challenge of finding Easter eggs in the dark. It’s BYOC and BYOF—bring your own chair and bring your own flashlight. Don’t forget your Easter basket. We will start with hot dogs by the bon fire at 6:30 (please be aware that all children are the responsibility of their parents). We will rope off a small area for little ones to
hunt for eggs.

1. Approach God with an attitude of repentance and humility. Seek His forgiveness. Remember God's supreme sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Psalm 51:16-18
Psalm 22 (read it entirely)

2. Praise and thank God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit for all THE THREE IN ONE has done for us through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior, who died upon a brutal Roman method of execution -- the cross -- for the forgiveness of our sins.

Romans 6:22-23
Colossians 1:19-20
Colossians 2:13-14

Mission Trip

We are excited about our upcoming youth mission trip to Oklahoma City, OK. This trip is available to all our active youth, grades 7-12. We will leave Cookeville following the 8:30 worship service on Sunday, June 27th. While in OKC we will be working during the day with Rebuilding Together, an organization that builds lives and neighborhoods by making homes safe, warm and dry for low-income senior citizens in the area. Several evenings we will also work in the OKC Rescue Mission kitchen and children’s chapel programs.
