Choir Club Kick-Off Burger Bash
It is time to sign up for Choir Club 2010-2011!
The weekly children's choir ministry of FUMC, Choir Club will begin on Wednesday afternoon, August 18th, for children age 3 (by September 30, 2010) through grade 6.
The Burger Bash Kickoff will be held in the CLC from 5:00 - 6:30. Join us for burgers, brats, the fixings, fellowship, games for the children, and sign up for Choir Club. The cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children under 12, or $15 per family. Call the church office, 526, 2177, for reservations or contact Kathy Evans (music@cookevillefumc.org)if you are interested in enrolling your child in Choir Club this year.

On July 15th the Annual Church Picnic was held at the Cookeville Community Pool for a good opportunity to get together and cool off. The Covered Dish meal started things off at 5:30 p.m. Swimming was from 6-9 p.m. We hope you enjoy these pictures of that event.
2010 FALL RETREAT
This year the Fall Retreat will be held September 24th— 26th at Beersheba Springs, TN. Our Associate Pastor, Drew Shelley, will lead the retreat entitled The Rich Man and Lazarus—A Look in the Mirror. Information and an Adobe.pdf version of the reservation form is attached below.

A special offering will be taken at the closing celebration. The offering, in its entirety, will go to God's Grace Food Pantry, an outreach of First United Methodist Church.
Methodist Men's Annual Spaghetti Dinner to Support Boy Scout Troop #108
This event is to raise money for Boy Scout Troop # 108, which is sponsored by the church. Take Outs will be available and the men encourage everyone to invite friends and neighbors to join them at this dinner. Cost:$6 per adult, $3 per child, with a family cap of $15.
