All I Want For Chrismas is.......

By shannyod - Posted on 12 December 2009

Hello, my name is Shannon Franklin Shelley and I am married to Michael Drew Shelley. I am not sure what a blog is, but I thought I would give it a try. Drew and I have been married for approximately 4.5 years now. It has been an absolutely wonderful time. Drew is the associate pastor at our church and is a very "interesting" person.

Drew is someone who requires quite a bit of "looking after" in order to stay out of trouble. Therefore, there is a secret society of ladies in the church who have been appointed to constantly be on the lookout. I cannot give their identities for safety reasons, but they sound something like Henna Dornby, Eathy Kvans, Mtephanie Sayo, Hnne Andrix, Boe Jritnell, Tuann Lhrogmorton, and many, many others.

Last year a very strange thing occurred. On April 27th, which happens to be my birthday, a birthday present was lost! I received from Drew something that I have always longed for...dance lessons of any kind with Drew himself! You can imagine how happy I was. Well, that happiness was not to be, because my dance lessons were lost! I cannot find them anywhere. Drew doesn't even know where they have gone. Now you can imagine how sad I am :( Even the secret society of ladies cannot help me now....

Well, although I do hope for the return of my dance lessons, I have decided to be proactive this year with Christmas coming up. There was once a wise man whose name sounded like Max Mayo who told me that in most cases as soon as a family welcomes a new puppy into their home, they are soon blessed with a different and better kind of bundle of joy. Since we have neither at this time I have decided to take that wise man's advice. I have decided to ask Drew for a puppy, that I have already selected from Sparta and named, and he said yes. So as I expectantly wait for my new puppy for Christmas, I am getting a little nervous that my puppy will be lost just like my birthday present was. I just don't think I am emotionally strong enough to handle two presents being lost :(

So this is a call to the Secret Society of Ladies...You know who you are...to please help Drew this Christmas so that the mysterious disappearance of my birthday present does not happen to my new puppy.

I know you will rise to the occassion in your endeavor to keep my Christmas present secure.

Yours in love and service,
Shannon F. Shelley
