MAY 21 ISSUE IS NOW AVAILABLE
Good Morning!
The current issue of the Cookeville FUMC Newsletter has been updated on the website and is now available for viewing:
http://www.cookevillefumc.org/sites/default/files/May_21_2009News.pdf
Of course, this week's newsletter and previous copies are always available online on the upper right side of the HOME page: www.cookevillefumc.org.
This issue will serve as a reminder to help the Food Pantry by going to the Grand Opening of the new Food Lion to purchase and donate the Food Pantry Challenge items by the deadline of 11:00 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday) night. All of the challenge items are located on pallets in the produce department and at the end of the checkout lines; the donation bins are just beyond the checkout lines so it's easy to place the items in the FUMC God's Grace Food Pantry bin before leaving the store.
One item that did not get into the newsletter this week, but you will find in Sunday's bulletin is a request to BORROW artificial, unlit Christmas trees needed during the week of Vacation Bible School. I mention this today in the event that your plans for this 3 day holiday weekend include going through your basement, garage, or attic. If you are able to let us borrow any trees you have, we ask that you call the church office to let us know before you make the trip and we will let you know where to drop it off. We need them available to us between June 1st and June 4th to use during VBS dates of June 8th through June 11th.
Just a reminder that the church offices and buildings will be closed on Monday for the Memorial Day observance.
If you experience difficulty and the link above does NOT take you to the current newsletter, please call or email Sherry White at the church office
(526-2177) Mon-Fri, email address: communications@cookevillefumc.org so we can determine the problem. Please read below for some additional suggestions to help resolve some minor issues.
Sincerely,
Sherry White

MORE INFO:
AOL and some other email programs do not allow users to simply click on the link to go directly to the newsletter. In this case you may need to copy the link above and paste it into the address bar to access the current e-copy of the newsletter.
The numbers in brackets (i.e. a "[1]" a "[2]" or a "[3]") after each link of this notice allow you to scroll down to the bottom of this message and access the links to go directly to the newsletter or website. If you DO need to select and copy the link information into your address bar, be sure to only select from the "http:" to the ".pdf" from the address line. Do *NOT* include the "[1]" or the "[2]" and you should be successful.
I appreciate any feedback you can offer. We want to encourage more and more users to enjoy the newsletter online and allow us to reduce the number of paper copies sent through the mail. If you enjoy the newsletter online and you still receive the paper copy and you want to discontinue the paper copy, please call me or drop me a quick email so I can make the adjustment in the program that generates the mailing labels.
We continue to receive a positive response to our "quest" to have more people cancel the newsletter by mail and are now receiving it by email. We still need many more cancellations of the paper newsletter & subscriptions to the online newsletter, so please share the news with anyone you think would enjoy having access to the newsletter online. If you want to have a newsletter sent to multiple members of your family, just let me know and I'll be happy to add them as well. It's simple and easy to make available to everyone.
