Mission Trip

By Krislyn Durham - Posted on 25 March 2010

We are excited about our upcoming youth mission trip to Oklahoma City, OK. This trip is available to all our active youth, grades 7-12. We will leave Cookeville following the 8:30 worship service on Sunday, June 27th. While in OKC we will be working during the day with Rebuilding Together, an organization that builds lives and neighborhoods by making homes safe, warm and dry for low-income senior citizens in the area. Several evenings we will also work in the OKC Rescue Mission kitchen and children’s chapel programs.

We will be staying at the Asbury UMC in OKC. They will provide space for sleeping, showering, and preparing meals. Friday will be a fun day of touring OKC and fellowship at the White Water Bay water park. We will return home Saturday, July 3rd.

Cost for the trip is $225. A $75 deposit is due by APRIL 7th. The cost will cover food, lodging, transportation, and entrance fees. Also 10 local service hours must be completed by June 15th. Many opportunities are available in our community to reach this goal.

If you have any questions, please contact either of us.
