Stories From Our Volunteers
Occasionally we get some interesting stories from our volunteers. Here are two for everyone's enjoyment.
- During the month of October, Jennie Ivey read "scary" folk tales to second and fourth graders at Jere Whitson and then helped them create their own. The hands-down favorite? ... "The Green Ribbon." (That's the one where the old woman's head falls off at the end of the story.)
- One day Pat Rodgers was working with one little boy (a 4th grader) on his spelling and definitions. When they came to the word “spoiled” Pat asked him if he was “spoiled” and he looked at her and said, “No, I taste pretty good.”
