Summer Fun
Hello, friends. . .it has been a wonderful summer. We in the music department have been busy, busy, busy! Lake Junaluska hosted an amazing music week. I was fortunate enough to work with Susan Pote, and also Allen Pote and Tom Long, the composers of "Table for Five . . Thousand" which was the musical that our children participated in. The week was not only an opportunity for spiritual rejuvination (the worship was great) but also was a tremendous learning experience for me. Working with such talents as Mr. and Mrs. Pote and Mr. Long left me feeling like I had been on Broadway for a week. I learned so much.
Kaleidoscope Camp wrapped just last week. We had 33 children from all over Tennessee. We were quite the ecumenical group as well. Many different churches were represented. I have been so proud of our kids. Not just at Kaleidoscope Camp, but also at Lake Junaluska, we have seen kids of all different ages coming together to nurture and love each other. Teens have helped tweens, tweens have helped our youngest children, and all ages have helped to show Christ's love to our church and community.
Special needs VBS is ongoing this week. We have students with varying challenges in life who are coming together for a week of fun and learning. They are a great group of kids.
I continue to get calls regarding Early Childhood Music Classes. We start back August 17. Monday classes are filling up fast, so give me a call or email if you have questions. I look forward to seeing you all soon!
