The Early Childhood Music Ministry is a weekday ministry offering of First United Methodist Church for church members and residents of the Cookeville area where a child's natural music instincts are nurtured in a positive environment that features parental involvement, age appropriate activities, and quality music experiences.

The weekly classes in music and movement are taught by Becky Frye, licensed Musikgarten instructor.

Sanctuary

Classes are located on the second floor of the main sanctuary building. Once you have walked through the main church entrance walk straight, and take the elevator to the second floor. Turn left off the elevator, then turn right to and walk around the hallway. Look (and listen) for room C206B.

In the company of their caregivers, children will fill their class time with group singing, dancing, movement, listening activities, and instrument exploration. Students will take turns using assorted drums, rhythm and melody instruments, and puppets and animal friends. The classroom activities will foster music skills, personal growth, brain development, and listening and movement skills. The curriculum is tailored to each class's needs and age groups.

Class meets once a week for 12 weeks.
Tuition and take-home materials:
Single child: $130
2 or more children: $155

You may download and print the Fall 2011 Early Childhood Music Ministry .pdf brochure and the .pdf Registration Form so you can print and complete the form before bringing it to the church office. There is a $25 deposit that is due at registration.
