WHAT: Refreshment and refueling for your family. A time for you to leave your child in a safe, protected environment. FUN for the kids and a getaway for you!! Siblings are welcome and encouraged to come!

WHERE: The Wellness and Recreation Center at First United Methodist Church, inside the Freeman Building 204 East Spring St.

Success was measured this past Friday by the smiles on the kid's faces and the relaxing time away for the parents. The mission of our special needs respite night is to refresh and refuel exhausted families. Our theme was Beach Night and we had 19 children attend, 5 of whom were new, and 13 people show up to help. THANK YOU to all the youth and adults who came to give of themselves and love on these kids. We had hula hoops, beach balls, limbo, water balloons, "deep sea fishing", pinatas, crafts, snack and a movie. When the evening was over and one family was leaving, I mentioned our next Respite Night is Friday, September 19. The father said, "We'll be sure to mark that down." The theme of our next respite night will be "A Night on the Farm". Let us know if you want to come help out. You won't regret it!!
